The wait is over. This weekend sees the first fixtures of the 2026/27 YBL season, with teams across the league beginning their journey towards championship success.

We would like to wish every player, coach, team manager, volunteer and official the very best of luck for the season ahead.

Key Reminders

✅ Fixture Confirmation Clubs playing this weekend should already have made contact and confirmed fixture arrangements. If you haven't yet done so, please refer to the contact details provided in the Club Handbook.

✅ Player Registration Ensure all players, coaches and delegates are fully registered and assigned to their teams at least 24 hours before tip-off.

✅ Be Ready for Live Scoring

Live Scoring is mandatory for all YBL fixtures.

To avoid delays:

Download the game before arriving at the venue.
Confirm all attending players are correctly registered in PlayHQ.
Check your Team Manager/Coach HoopsHQ is up to date and ready for use.
Start Live Scoring using the "+" button or the Start Live Scoring link on the YBL website.

If a technical issue prevents Live Scoring:

Only the official YBL Emergency Scoresheet may be used.
Any technical issues must be reported when uploading the scoresheet.
The home team must upload the complete result to PlayHQ by 23:59 on the day of the game, including player points and foul breakdowns.
Failure to Live Score will result in a £25 first-offence charge.

✅ Fixture Rearrangements If you are unable to play your fixture as scheduled, it must be rearranged in line with the YBL Fixtures Policy.

Fixtures left as PENDING for more than 12 hours after the scheduled start time will be cancelled by the YBL.
Once cancelled, fixtures cannot be rearranged and no claim can be made against them.
Rearrangements agreed between both clubs and completed in accordance with league regulations are free of charge, unless a Game Form is submitted and YBL intervention is required. (YBL One divisions operate under slightly different arrangements.)

Fixtures for the 2026/2027 season have now been completed and are available for Club Secretaries and Administrators to view in PlayHQ. These will be released publicly via HoopsHQ on Friday 31 July 2026.

Thank you to all clubs that submitted the Confirm Club Entry form. Your preferred tip times and playing days have been scheduled at the time when these fixtures were generated. Clubs that did not complete the form have been allocated a default time and day.

Zonal divisions have been arranged around the Cup Division schedule to avoid clashes for teams competing across multiple age groups (e.g., U13 Zonal and U14 The Challenge Cup). The first round of the Beth Matthews Cup is scheduled for Week 15 (w/c Friday 11 December), but fixtures may be played at any point before the end of that week.

All fixtures across all divisions may be played in any order from Friday 4 September until Sunday 28 February.

While every effort has been made to accommodate club preferences, this has not always been possible. Clubs that did not provide playing information should not contact the YBL team; but arrange your fixtures accordingly with your opposition.

Clubs have until Friday 28 August to review fixtures, tip times, playing days, and venues.

Please use the rearrangement feature in PlayHQ to make any changes.

Under 9 and Under 11 fixtures must be rearranged through the YBL, as these divisions cannot use the standard PlayHQ rearrangement function.

The YBL will support clubs up to this date. From Saturday 29 August, the YBL Fixture Policy will come into effect.
